Wealth and Happiness

Did you know that the very wealthy are not that different from you and me? In a recent study among “ultra-affluent” people, over 80% said their greatest concern was providing long-term security for their families. They also said it was “complex and difficult” to keep their financial assets growing. Quality of life seemed pretty good, with 69% maintaining a wine cellar and 90% collecting art. Only half, by the way, said being wealthy had brought them happiness. (December 2, 2006)
